It's fresh food in a fast food setting. If you made tortilla soup, burritos, quesadillas, salads etc at home using real ingredients, and you knew how to cook, you'd make what they serve at Pollo Loco. It looks like a fast food restaurant, but it's real food, served quickly. Not chemical filled, genetically modified, not frankenfood. Beans, rice, tomatoes, chilies, grilled chicken, etc

This is a fast food place that serves a lot of flame broiled chicken based meals. The food is mostly Mexican orientated so you have a lot of tacos, burritos and tostadas as well as some salad bowls for vegetarians. The food is served hot and tasty. There's a variety of salsas from mild to extremely hot depending on your desired style.

Shout out to Destiny who was incredibly nice and helpful last time I went. NGL I was having a bad day until she was just a ray of sunshine and brightened my mood. Hope the company values her and appreciates that they have someone as capable as her

I actually don't go to the El Pollo Loco near my house. I drive to this one. They have lower pricing here and the food quality tastes better always. They never chince on food ingredients, and they are always friendly. Their bathrooms are always clean, and someone comes out and wipes the counters often.... (I go in eat and use my laptop so you notice these things) They changed up the inside a little so the seating isn't as comfortable. But if you want el pollo loco go here. The marinade is also always done better at this location so the chicken is never bland.

I went in. First time. The food was pretty damn good! Chicken was juicy and tender, and the sides were on point. The store was pretty clean also. The workers who I spoke to, were all very nice and helpful! Especially Rosie, she was the best! Kiosks were a bit confusing for me. Rosie was very helpful with getting my order through the kiosk. I definitely recommend! This is my new regular lunch spot!

The EL POLLO LOCO in Sherman Oaks is the bomb!!! It's by far the VERY BEST CHICKEN I'VE HAD IN LA, AND I WILL ONLY GO TO THE SHERMAN OAKS LOCATION ON RIVERSIDE DR. because of the amazing quality of food and the incredibly kind staff ... ESPECIALLY ROSY THE MGR WHO GOES WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR ME EVERY TIME I GO THERE!!! I'VE KNOWN ROSY FOR A MILLION YEARS, AND SHE GIVES THE VERY BEST SERVICE WITH THE MOST YUMMY FOOD, WITH THE HUGEST SMILE....WHICH IS SO CONTAGIOUS!!!! When you want fresh chicken (like my Mom and Grandma used to make at home), and all of the other scrumptious food items they have to order (along w/ all of their salsas, guacamole, chips...and the cinnamon churros for dessert) ...GO TO EL POLLO LOCO IN SHERMAN OAKS, AND I PROMISE YOU, THAT ROSY WILL GIVE YOU THE FASTEST AND BEST SERVICE, AND SHE WILL PUT A HUGE SMILE ON YOUR FACE.. and tell Rosy that Kelly sent you (the girl w/ the white cat eye glasses) and I promise, you won't be sorry!!!! - Kelly Hughes

The only reason why I am leaving a review is because the customer service was excellent and efficient. I wish all take out places were this excellent . The cashier that helped me was very nice and was able to help me put my order together her options were great. I was in such a hurry I had my kids and grandma in the car . They took my order out in such a reasonable time. I have gone to other fast food locations and they always take long. It was my first time stop by this pollo loco will be back soon. I loved the service .
